OPERATION GRIT

Help Those In Need

We at Disposable Warriors found the heartbreaking statistic that on any given night there are roughly 49,950 homeless veterans left to survive in either blistering heat, hypothermic winters, with minimal support, and still battling memories of combat. Hero’s that we have paid lunch tabs for, given up seats on a flight for, or gave standing ovations for are now seen as bad people to avoid and for some reason deserve where they are. How can we call someone a hero one day and pretend they do not exist the next day? This is not acceptable. We are here at FT Hood TX, the country’s largest military base. We will be pounding the pavement here in the FT Hood area and also in Austin TX to find these homeless vets and provide them with an essential bag. What this bag has in it is a towel, t-shirts, socks, deodorant, energy bars, bottle water, tooth brush, etc. We will also ask the veteran if we may share his or her story so that not only are we providing them with the essentials that we all take for granted, but also make this a HUGE Social Movement to get America aware of how dire this has become. Please help us help our heroes. All funds donated will be spent buying the items for the essential bags, food and water to feed them and to have distribute.

DisposableWarriors is tackling this serious epidemic of homelessness of our Veterans.  We go out and provide a meal and water for those in need.  We also provide the essential bag for them as well.  This is made possible by donation of funds to buy and make the meals and fill the essential bags.  Once they are prepared, we go out and deliver the meals and bags to those in need.  We spend time and get to know them and give them a sense of worth and dignity.  As the song says in the video above, we provide a meal that they do not have to eat alone.  We cannot do this without the help of each and everyone of you. Thank you for your support and help to make the lives of these in need a little better.
