CPT Jason Norwood and is an Artillery officer at Fort Hood, Texas. He currently serves as the Resiliency Campus Commandant. The Resiliency Campus looks at Fitness as a total metric for Soldiers’ well being. In that light they focus not only on Physical fitness but Mental, Emotional, Spiritual and Social fitness as well. Each of these five pillars must be in balance to reach the Total Fitness we expect from soldiers.

Jason serves as the Program director for the No One Left Behind program of DisposableWarriors and is also a Board member for DisposableWarriors.

Jason’s focus on physical fitness and nutrition is in part a result of his rebellious nature as a child. He came from a house were mental attributes were weighed substantially more heavily than physical prowess. As a result he focused on physical endeavors and quickly found his niche in the sport of wrestling. Jason wrestled throughout high school placing second at regions my senior year after winning two varsity letters. He then went on to wrestle in college at the United States Military Academy at West Point. While there his focus switched from folk-style wrestling to freestyle wrestle for international competition. Jason went on to win New York, New Jersey, and the Mid-Atlantic Wrestling Association titles in the Men’s Senior Division while in college. This propelled him to one of the greatest opportunities of his life, wrestling for the All-Army Wrestling Team in Fort Carson, Colorado. While there Jason was able to train with Olympic hopefuls and medal winners at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.
